About the Post
We are trialing the introduction of IsiXhosa and Sesotho at our English Medium, Independent School and seeking a passionate teacher to join our dynamic teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of high-quality teaching and learning to Grade 6,7 and 8 learners as FAL.
Expectations, Qualifications and competencies required:
- A relevant professional Teaching Qualification from a recognised institution.
- Specialisation Intermediate and Senior Phase and evidence of this in tertiary qualification and course transcripts.
- Fully support the ethos of the school as an Anglican Church School and incorporating the school’s values into daily teaching and activities.
- Passion for children and teaching.
- Applicant should have either IsiXhosa – home language or Sesotho – as home language dependent on which they are applying for and be fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous teaching experience will be advantageous.
- SACE certification.
- Police Clearance certification, or application made.
- Preference will be given to applicants resident in the Eastern Cape or presently living within 75 km of Matatiele
