Clifton Preparatory School, Nottingham Road, is an independent Christian, co-educational, day and boarding school committed to providing quality education. Established in 1942, we are situated in a beautiful and picturesque rural 50 ha setting in the Midlands of KwaZulu-Natal.
Clifton Preparatory School Nottingham Road seeks to appoint an energetic, innovative and motivated person for the following position:
HOUSEMOTHER: GIRLS’ HOUSE (SUTCLIFFE HOUSE)
If being involved in the “heartbeat of the school”, where the nurturing of our girls who are boarding happens in Sutcliffe House (Girls’ Boarding House), then read on…
With about a third of our pupils part of the Boarding establishment, our two Boarding Houses play an integral part in the life of our school. You will have the obvious traits of caring (in the broadest sense of the word) for the well-being of our children, with the pastoral care role being of prime importance. As a resident Housemother, with accommodation attached to the respective Boarding House, you will form a close link to our resident nursing sister, as well as the Head of Boarding. If being part of a dynamic team which will include resident Teacher Interns and a broader staff, interests you, then this post is for you!
Being a passionate “mother” to our boarders (ranging in ages from Grade 1 to Grade 7) is a foregone conclusion, whilst having some nursing experience and First Aid training will be a significant advantage.
