MIDDLE AND SENIOR SCHOOL (GRADE 8 – 12)

The opportunity:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Senior History teacher, with a proven track record of being able to engage with students at all levels.

The successful applicant will need to be a strong team player committed to the Redhill ethos of high academic expectations. Furthermore, they will also need to embrace the school’s teaching philosophy, which encourages critical thinking and creativity.

This position will afford the successful candidate the opportunity of teaching in the school’s International Baccalaureate (IB) and Independent Examinations Board (IEB) programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching engaging History lessons to Grade 8 to 12 students.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that empowers students to embrace and celebrate the subject.
  • Actively participating in professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall academic success of Redhill School.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate university degree.
  • Professional teaching qualification.
  • Registration with SACE.
  • A dynamic, creative personality with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Teaching experience within the IEB system would be a strong recommendation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to contribute to the innovative teaching practices at Redhill School.
  • Willingness to be trained in the IB programme.
