High School Teacher – History GET and FET
Commencement Date: January 2025
The opportunity exists for a suitably qualified individual to teach at our independent and inclusive College Campus, amid the beautiful rural area of East Griqualand in the North Eastern region of the Eastern Cape. We are an IEB school consisting of 3 campuses from Pre-Primary to Matric.
Experience in teaching the Humanities and other suitable subjects would be advantageous. General subjects to teach may include:Social Sciences, Life Orientation
Expectations, Qualifications and competencies required:
- A relevant qualification from a recognised institution – minimum requirement is a degree and/or a 4-year professional teaching qualification.
- Fully support the ethos of the school as an Anglican Church School and incorporating the school’s values into daily teaching and activities.
- To be responsible for all duties as required of an academic educator.
- Computer literate and efficient.
- An open and creative outlook to education.
- Passion for children and teaching.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Full commitment to extra-mural activities of the school.
- Applicant should be fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in an ISASA school and IEB experience will be advantageous.
- Passionate about critical and creative thinking teaching methodology.
- SACE and Police Clearance certification.
- Preference will be given to local applicants from KZN and The Eastern Cape.
