Understand and implement evidenced based instruction and assessment practices.
Communicate on a regular basis with fellow team department/grade members with regards to planning, assessment, parent contact, subject organization and instructional strategies
Communicate and liaise with other school colleagues to promote social and emotional learning opportunities.
Constructively contribute to staff meetings
Contribute to school spirit and community building activities
Maintain up-to-date records of assessment, attendance, planning, reports, conferences, and communication with parents
Establish links with the parent community to ensure that parents are kept well informed about student progress
Actively engage Advisory groups
Assist, as required, in the development of social and emotional curricular materials
Act as a resource, contact, and support colleague for new staff members (i.e. curriculum, schedules, procedures)
Support service partners and service clubs
Contribute at least 15 hours beyond the regular contract time to supervise student activities including service learning, sports, clubs, performing arts and other co-curricular activities.
Participate in and assist with school events as required
Experience with curriculum development in the humanities
7:10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and
7:10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday
