HIGH SCHOOL LIFE SCIENCE TEACHER

Commencement date: 1 September 2024 (Negotiable)

 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE EXPECTED TO:

  • Teach Life Science (Grade 10 – 12) & Natural Science (Grade 8 – 9)
  • Engender a healthy environment for pupil development and learning.
  • Be prepared to work according to the St Patrick’s College Christian ethos and according to Governing Body policies.
  • Demonstrate an enthusiasm for teenagers and an ability to interact and communicate with them.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to operate in a team environment.
  • Have the capacity to develop and sustain new teaching and learning ideas.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Ed Tech (e.g., Google classroom) and how to use it to advance teaching and learning in a senior school environment.
  • Be willing to participate in the extra-curricular and outdoor programme the school offers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A B.Sc. (plus PGCE) is required or B.Ed. (FET phase) – majoring in Life Science.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in teaching G12 Life Science is a requirement.
  • Current SACE registration.
  • National Register for Sex Offenders (NSRO) compliant.
  • Be in possession of a Police Clearance Certificate
