Cornwall Hill College is looking for an experienced CAT (Grade 10 – 12) teacher to be responsible for teaching CAT as part of the school curriculum.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO:
Plan and prepare lessons in relation to individual pupils’ needs
Acquire appropriate teaching materials and resources
Motivate pupils and encourage progress
Communicate with academic staff and parents
Assess pupils’ abilities, providing feedback and writing reports
Carry out administrative and record-keeping tasks associated with teaching and assessment
Prepare, select and use appropriate teaching, learning and technology-enhanced material
THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND ABILITIES ARE ESSENTIAL:
A recognised degree and a professional teaching qualification
Excellent interpersonal skills with colleagues, pupils and parents
Good organisational and administrative skills
The willingness to take part in the schools co-curricular programme
±3 years matric experience teaching CAT would be advantageous
