St Katharine’s School has a rich history and a deep-rooted passion for the Performing Arts. A dynamic and inspiring educator with a love for the Performing Arts is needed to lead and develop our thriving department. The successful candidate will bring vision, enthusiasm, and expertise to this pivotal role, inspiring young girls to explore their talents and creativity.
St Katharine’s School is looking for a candidate who embodies these qualifications, attributes and experience:
- A relevant Music and/or Drama and/or Teaching Degree and be SACE registered
- Evidence of clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register
- Oversee the planning and delivery of an engaging Performing Arts curriculum and inspire girls to develop their skills in drama, music, and dance, fostering a love for the Arts
- Teach and coordinate the class music programme: Grade 0 to Grade 7
- Lead and support a team of dedicated peripatetic staff
- Experience in conducting music ensembles or choirs would be an advantage
- Experience in directing and producing performances, concerts, and productions would be a further advantage
- Be self-motivated and have integrity and enthusiasm
- Possess strong leadership, interpersonal, administrative and computer skills
- Be able to function both independently and as part of a team
- Possess effective communication skills and liaise positively with the parents, girls and all staff
- Be committed to upholding the Christian values of the School.
