Kat River Valley Preparatory School is an educational oasis situated on a citrus farm just 5km outside Fort Beaufort in the Eastern Cape. The school has been operating for the past 25 years. We provide a happy learning environment from Pre-Primary to Grade 7. We follow the CAPS curriculum as a guide for Grades 1-7.

Intermediate Phase Teacher – GRADE 4 & 5

Minimum requirements:

  • A passionate, organised, and energetic teacher
  • Senior / Intermediate phase teaching qualification
  • Registered with SACE & Police Clearence
  • Knowledge and/or experience of CAPS curriculum
  • Class Teaching & excellent command of the English language
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of and/or willing to learn Project-Based Learning (PBE)
  • Sports Coaching a must
  • Sports Coaching certificates and/or willing to obtain coaching qualifications
  • Professional Driving Permit

The position includes:

  • Teaching all learning areas for Grade 4 & 5.
  • Liaising with all stakeholders in the school
  • Extra-mural activity involvement and sport coaching
  • Organising sports fixtures and coaching timetables
  • Liaising with other schools regarding sports tournaments, fixtures, clinics
  • Further Development of existing Sports programmes at the school
  • Accommodation is offered on campus
