The school at Hermannsburg, established in 1856, is situated between Greytown and Kranskop in the beautiful, natural surroundings of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. HEAD OF GERMAN DEPARTMENT

Starting 01 January 2025:

Minimum requirements:

  • A.C.E registration;
  • the requisite professional qualifications;
  • involvement in the extra-curricular activities of the school;
  • good communication, administration and inter-personal skills;
  • passion & enthusiasm for the profession;
  • able and willing to uphold the ethos, Mission and Vision of the school;
  • evidence of clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register.

Highly recommended, desirable requirements:

  • A sound knowledge of the relevant IEB curricula and at least 5 years’ experience teaching according to IEB SAG’s, including teaching at Grade 12 level;
  • experience teaching towards the DSD qualification;
  • proficient German speaker, with the ability to communicate effectively in English;
  • an effective and passionate approach to teaching with the ability to motivate scholar participation;
  • willingness to teach in the senior primary phase.
