An opportunity exists for an exceptional Head of English to join the school from May 2021 (or sooner).
Candidates should meet the following criteria.
They should have:
A progressive understanding of current educational trends, especially in the area of personalised teaching of English.
An ability and willingness to proof-read.
Experience in teaching English as a first language
Some experience in leading a team of teachers and a willingness to work as part of team.
A commitment to ongoing personal development and a future-orientated approach.
The capacity to develop and sustain new teaching practices.
Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
An energetic and inspirational approach to the girls’ learning and motivation
A values-based approach to the girls’ care and wellbeing
The intention to work according to the school’s ethos, specifications and policies
Education and Experience
A relevant professional qualification
At least 5 years teaching experience
The successful candidate will be expected to assist with the generation of a scaffolded learning programme across the grades to enrich our personalized learning philosophy. The candidate will be involved in the teaching of English across grades as well as the support of teachers in this department.
