The Ikusasa Lethu Programme (St Mary’s Saturday School) established in 1990, has 350 pupils from Alexandra and surrounds who participate in extension classes in support of their education.

We invite applications for the following post:


The position will commence on 1 October 2024

The incumbent will report to the head of school and to the head of the St Mary’s Foundation, with the responsibility of leading the programme and managing the academic and operational resources.

The following skills are required:

  • Appropriate post-graduate professional qualifications in education
  • A passion for education and personal convictions aligned to the objectives of Ikusasa Lethu
  • Administrative, organisational and planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal, managerial and communication skills
  • Ability to direct and manage curriculum, budgets, staff and facilities
  • Good digital skills
  • The ability to work independently and to take initiative
  • A SACE registration

This is a five-day week position with Saturday being mandatory. Ikusasa Lethu follows a four-term calendar.
