OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT
Handyman
We are excited to welcome applications for a role within our Operations Department, which requires passion, commitment, innovative thinking and leading-edge ability, and is available from March 2025, negotiable.
 The requirements for this position are:
- Grade 12 or equivalent with 3 years’ experience in repairs and maintenance
- Valid driver’s license (Code 8)
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to communicate in English (oral and written)
- Ability to multi-task together with hands on experience, including ability to diagnose problems, determine and facilitate effective solutions
- Good teamwork skills
- Execute routine preventative maintenance schedules and provide detailed accurate feedback to ensure site infrastructure condition does not deteriorate
- Experience in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to maintain and improve site infrastructure
- Reporting of adhoc site and building works/defects to line manager and where necessary take action to restore to basic conditions
- Committing to work within the values, Christian ethos and mission of the College, as well as participating in the broader life of St Stithians College
- A police clearance, sexual offender’s clearance certificate
- Conduct basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs
