Due to an exciting investment in our school we are in the position to expand our teaching staff in key areas.

Applications are invited for the position of

Grade 8-12 Natural & Physical Sciences Teacher

For the 2021 academic year

Minimum requirements:

  • S.A.C.E. registration;
  • the requisite professional qualifications; minimum BEd or BSc degree with PGCE.
  • willing to be involved in the extra-curricular activities of the school;
  • able and willing to uphold the Christian ethos, mission and values of the school;
  • passion & enthusiasm for the subject and the profession;
  • ability to interact appropriately with staff, parents, scholars and our broader community,
  • evidence of clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register, or willingness to obtain such clearance.

Highly recommended, desirable requirements:

  • a sound knowledge of the relevant IEB curricula and at least 3 years’ experience teaching according to IEB SAG’s, including teaching at Grade 12 level;
  • ability to teach another subject in addition to Natural and Physical Sciences;
  • an effective and innovative approach to teaching with the ability to motivate scholar participation;
  • comfortable using electronic / digital technology to support learning;
  • knowledge of how to encourage a broad range of thinking skills in the classroom.
  • an understanding and experience of positive education, rooted in school practice.
  • the ability to lead a robotics programme would be a distinct advantage.

Management and leadership opportunities may be available for an appropriate candidate.
