Grade 1 Teacher Position 2025
Sagewood Preparatory School is an independent, Christian, English-medium school catering for both boys and girls from Grade 000 to Grade 7. Sagewood is a member of the Independent Schools Association of South Africa, ISASA. The school is accredited by both IQAA and UMALUSI. It is situated on the North Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal, just outside the town of Gingindlovu.
Experienced Grade 1 Teacher – 2025
Sagewood Preparatory School invites applications for the abovementioned position which will be available from January 2025.
The requirements for this position include but are not limited to:
- Must have a teaching qualification (B. Ed/PGCE in Foundation Phase Teaching),
- Knowledge of working with children at Foundation Phase level,
- A passion for teaching, strong classroom management skills and a basic understanding of the development of Foundation Phase children,
- Must be computer literate,
- Must be willing to engage in the school’s full programme, including all after hours and extra-curricular activities and Sport
- An unwavering commitment to working as part of an accomplished team,
- A commitment to on-going personal and professional development,
- An awareness of the underlying ethos and vision of the school
- Be willing to get a police clearance certificate and must have a clear criminal record,
- Must be SACE Registered
- Must have an excellent command of the English language,
- Must have at least 3 years Foundation Phase teaching experience
- Must have a Code 8 Drivers Licence
