St Paulus Primary School invites candidates to apply for the following position:

GRADE 1 – 7 CODING AND ROBOTICS TEACHER 2024

The school is looking to appoint a full-time, experienced Robotics Teacher with effect from September 2024. Candidates must have relevant qualifications. Please note that consideration will only be given to candidates with the following:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A professional teaching qualification or recognised degree with the ability to teach Coding and Robotics from Grade 1 – 7
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Coding and Robotics.

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • An in-depth knowledge of Coding and Robotics subject content on Foundation and Intermediate level.
  • Advanced ICT skills with the ability to incorporate technology into teaching and administration practice.
  • Knowledge of the CAPS / IEB Coding and Robotics curriculum is essential.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a strong work ethic.
  • English and Afrikaans proficiency, with excellent written and communication skills.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Practicing Catholic or thorough understanding of Catholicism.
  • Willingness to uphold the Catholic ethos of the School.
  • Willingness to participate in the broader life of the School by participating and coordinating extra-mural activities.
  • SACE Registration
  • A valid Police Clearance Certificate
