GRADE 0 – 7 MUSIC & DRAMA TEACHER
(FULL TIME FROM 01 JANUARY 2025)

Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Music, Drama, Performing Arts, or Education (a teaching qualification is a plus).
Familiarity with the South African CAPS curriculum (or IEB) and assessment standards.
SACE registration or eligibility to register.

- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in music and drama across different grade levels.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that nurtures students’ creativity, confidence and artistic skills
- Form part of a concert committee – school productions, concerts and performances.
- Provide individual and group instruction in musical instruments, voice, and drama techniques. (optional)
- Assess and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate arts into cross curricular activities.
- Be proficient in playing musical instruments.
- Lead school in Assemblies – Praise and Worship, Hymn Practice
- Be willing to participate in the broader school community, including attending school events and collaborating with parents.
- Have the ability to work collaboratively and contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities.
- Have excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Be creative, flexible and have the ability to inspire and motivate young students.
- Have the ability to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
