German Second Additional Language Teacher

Starting on 15 July 2024

Minimum requirements:

  • S.A.C.E. registration;
  • the requisite professional and language qualifications;
  • involvement in the extra-curricular activities of the school;
  • good communication, administration and inter-personal skills;
  • passion & enthusiasm for the teaching profession;
  • able and willing to uphold the ethos, Mission and Vision of the school;
  • evidence of clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register.

Highly recommended, desirable requirements:

  • A sound knowledge of the relevant IEB curricula and five or more years’ experience teaching according to IEB SAG’s, including teaching at Grade 12 level;
  • experience teaching towards the DSD qualification;
  • proficient German speaker, with the ability to communicate effectively in English;
  • an effective and passionate approach to teaching with the ability to motivate scholar participation;
  • willingness to also teach in the senior primary phase.
