Roedean School seeks to employ a highly skilled, enthusiastic, and innovative person to the post of
Fundraising and Events Co-ordinator
The successful applicant will be responsible for Roedean School (SA) fundraising, and event co-ordination. As a fundraising and events co-ordinator, you will develop an extensive network of people that can help to provide services for fundraising events.
Key requirements of the role:
Identify potential donors;
Maintain contact with donor records to ensure that all donations are recorded accurately;
Manage Roedean’s database of donors, including contact information and gift histories;
Assist in driving marketing strategies to align with fundraising goals;
Co-ordinate with SAORA, PTA, Roedean Academy, Executive Head, Junior School Head and COO to ensure that fundraising goals are met;
Manage events within the school for fundraising, and marketing;
Manage Roedean’s donor database to track contributions and ensure prompt payment of pledges;
Prepare the S18A certificates; and
Prepare reports on donor activity for stakeholder, COO and Board reporting.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field;
Knowledge of and experience within a school environment will be an advantage;
Understanding of applicable laws including POPIA;
At least 3 years’ experience in the fundraising; and
Computer literacy skills with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Good interpersonal skills;
Flexibility and adaptability to juggle a range of different tasks;
Good organisational and time management skills;
A motivated individual able to work within team to support a common goal;
High level of integrity and confidentiality;
Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English; and
Ability to work non-traditional hours with possible evening and weekend meetings/activities.
