BILINGUAL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF LUANDA ANGOLA
Foundation Phase/Primary Teacher
This school is growing rapidly from the ECD to include primary classes and seeks the services of a teacher qualified and experienced to teach from Gr R to Grade 4. As the school is licenced to offer the ISASA Curriculum, five years’ experience in a similar school would be expected.
The contract is for a three to five-year period, during which time the candidate would have an exclusive contract with the school and not able to move to another school in Angola, according to the work permit applied for.
Remuneration is the equivalent of USD 900 per month payable in local currency. A 40% subsidy is available for a child up to 7 years old to attend the school. Other benefits include: accommodation and transport to and from school; lunch at school; one trip home per year arriving in Angola on 10th January and departing on 15th December; medical insurance (not medical aid) with a co-payment.
Requirements: degree in Foundation Phase and/or Primary school education; 5 years’ experience.
Responsibilities include: co-ordinate the class’s pedagogical activities; supervise the children to prevent accidents; meet with parents when necessary; send activity reports to the Board.
