Founded in 2007 and located in Plumstead, Cape Town, Oakley House School is a leading independent, co-educational school specialising in supportingdiverse individuals with specific learning difficulties.We are seeking an experienced and energetic educator to fill a Learner Support position in the Foundation Phase.
To meet the requirements for this position, the ideal candidate will need the following:
A recognised degree and/or a 4-year professional teaching qualification
A recognised qualification in Inclusive Education/Special Needs Education
A working knowledge and understanding of specific learning difficulties
A thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum (CAPS)
Ability to drive and manage the Literacy programme in the Foundation Phase
An intrinsic desire to continue learning along with the ability to think creatively and problem solve effectively
This position is available from April 2023.
