Founded in 2007 and located in Plumstead, Cape Town, Oakley House School is a leading independent, co-educational school specialising in supporting diverse individuals with specific learning difficulties. We are seeking an experienced educator who is at a place in their career that demands further growth and who is skilled in the areas of organisation, administration, Information Technology, people skills, motivation and mentorship.

To meet the requirements for this position, the successful candidate will need the following:

  • A recognised degree and/or a 4-year professional teaching qualification
  • SACE registration
  • A recognised qualification in Inclusive Education/Special Needs Education
  • Good experience in class teaching
  • A working knowledge and understanding of specific learning difficulties
  • A thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum (CAPS)
  • An intrinsic desire to continue learning along with the ability to think creatively and problem solve effectively
