Foundation and Primary Phase Teachers

Helderberg International School is an independent co-educational school following the International Cambridge Curriculum. It is a member of ISASA with students from Nursery to Year 13. The school seeks to appoint open-minded and committed teachers for 2020.

The successful candidate for the above position will be expected to:

  • Be committed to the ethos and values of the school and IES,
  • Be loyal and trustworthy,
  • Have good people skills with competent interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Be a team player,
  • Maintain confidentiality,
  • Have an understanding and working knowledge of the CAPS Curriculum. Having some knowledge of the CAMBRIDGE CURRICULUM would be beneficial,
  • Be a dynamic and motivated educator who has a strong personal philosophy of education,
  • Enhance the students’ competence/performance/achievement in, and enthusiasm for learning,
  • Maintain high standards of classroom practice and work collaboratively with colleagues,
  • Be available and willing to support functions/activities when required,
  • Have a high level of computer skills,
  • Be willing and able to participate/coach/offer an extra-curricular sport or club.

The applicants must have:

  • An appropriate academic and professional qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Current or pending SACE registration.
