The St David’s Marist Foundation was established in 2006 as a registered Trust and PBO to help ensure the long-term sustainability of St David’s Marist Inanda. It supports identified development areas of the school through funds raised, donations received, and strategic business and philanthropic partnerships. The Foundation falls under the St David’s Advancement Office structure.
The St David’s Marist Foundation is poised to move to the next level of expansion and engagement, both within and beyond the St David’s community, in support of the innovative, dynamic development of St David’s, particularly as society and education redefines itself in a ‘new time’. In preparation for this the Foundation has expanded the existing structure and is seeking to appoint a
Reporting to the Director of the Foundation this fulltime role will be an important part of the development and expansion of the existing Foundation programmes, provide support to the growth of the next-level Foundation programmes and strategic direction and manage the day-to-day and administrative requirements of the Foundation.
The Foundation Manager will be a proactive, highly motivated, compassionate, and detail-orientated individual with experience in the non-profit sector, specifically related to fundraising and donor development. The Foundation Manager will have strong communication skills and be comfortable relating to a wide range of constituents in particular the St David’s community and the Foundation’s existing regular donors. Strong computer literacy is a prerequisite as well as working knowledge of a donor management system or CRM. Skills to manage the Foundation’s day-to-day non-profit-related administration are important. Experience in managing the logistics of small to mid-size events will be of benefit. An understanding of grant funding research and application processes will be beneficial. Sensitivity and the ability to work with confidential information is also required for this role.
