and Register Class Teacher

Commencement Date: 01 September to 2 December 2020

We are currently seeking to appoint a SACE registered and suitably qualified and experienced person to teach First Additional Language Afrikaans to boys in Grade 4 to Grade 7, as well as the responsibility of fulfilling the role as a Register Class Teacher in the Senior Phase.

This is a temporary post for the duration of the third term.

Post requirements:

  • Experience and ability to teach Senior Primary Afrikaans as a First Additional Language.
  • A dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative individual with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong administration, organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in both English and Afrikaans, with good report writing skills.
  • Promote and develop the relevant curriculum, working closely with the relevant HOD and the Deputy Academics, in accordance with the standards and aims of the school and its curricular policies.
  • Prioritise individual pupil attainment and achievement, and closely monitor and support pupil progress.
  • Participation in the Extra-Mural Programme / Afternoon Activities is negotiable.
  • SACE membership.
  • Start 01 September 2020.
