Dainfern College requires a Finance Manager on 1 March 2023 (or sooner).

The College Finance Manager, together with the finance team, would be responsible for:
Accuracy of all accounting entries into the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
Oversight of creditors’ payments and debtors’ billing.
Accurate and timely budget processes, and monthly budget and financial reporting processes.
Project management on new software, systems or financial requirements, as and when required.
Year-end figures and external audit.
Liaison and facilitation of the external audit.
Allocating work portfolios, writing up job descriptions and job profiles, performance reviews for finance team.
Providing statistics on student numbers and debenture and entrance fee liabilities.
Credit checks and ensuring entrance fee deposits are in place for new entrants.
Ensuring that liabilities are accurately reflected and provisions put in place as necessary.
Management of the fixed assets.
Management of specific roles in finance including creditors, contras, salaries and general ledger functions.
Balancing debtors and fixed assets.
Overseeing Parents’ Association and Foundation Trust financials.
Assisting the Business Director in any other finance matters from time to time.
The successful candidate must possess:
At least three to five years’ experience in a similar financial management role.
A B Com degree is required.
Sound accounting knowledge.
Good general skills (Planning, organising and controlling).
MS Office – including a high standard of Excel skills.
Internet Banking CATS.
Interpretation of software systems.
Pastel Accounting and Ed -Admin would be an advantage.
Competencies / skills:
Sound computer literacy.
High level of ethics, integrity, trustworthiness, responsibility and transparency.
Good communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines (stress tolerance).
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail (tedium tolerance).
Good administration skills.
The successful applicant will report to the College Business Director.
