Mitchell House, a non-profit company, is a growing comprehensive, co-educational, independent English-medium Christian community school in Polokwane founded in 1994.
The school pursues a holistic educational philosophy that includes academic, sporting and cultural excellence as primary goals.
Mitchell House, an ISASA school, comprises an Early Childhood Development Centre, Junior Phase, Intermediate Phase, College and an Enrichment Centre for children with disabilities.
We also offer weekly and termly boarding for boys and girls from grades 8 to 12.
Mitchell House follows the IEB Curriculum. We pride ourselves on our academic support initiative, the integration of technology across the school and our inclusion programme for significantly disabled children.
We seek to appoint an experienced, innovative and dynamic person to fill the full-time, fixed term position of:
EXECUTIVE HEAD
The successful candidate must have a proven record of:
- Leadership in education and pastoral care as well finance and marketing experience
- Outstanding interpersonal communication and managerial skills
- Positive interaction with multiple stakeholders including students, parents, teachers and alumni
- International knowledge and experience of best practice in education.
- Strong affinity for all-round sporting, spiritual, cultural and academic excellence.
Candidates must hold an appropriate tertiary qualification, be SACE registered, and have served at least 5 years in a senior educational position at a highly regarded institution.
