Clifton Preparatory School Nottingham Road seeks to appoint an energetic, innovative and motivated person for the following position:
ESTATE FOREMAN (1 May or by negotiation)
The ideal candidate, who reports to the Estate’s Manager, will be a person who is multi-skilled. The successful candidate will:
Be suitably qualified with relevant technical tertiary experience
Have at least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or similar role
Have some skill in repairs and maintenance tasks, such as
Effectively attends to maintenance requests timeously
Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
Prepare daily and weekly maintenance schedules, while remaining “hands-on” w.r.t. the projects which are taking place
Be a self-starter, showing initiative, organisational abilities and a willingness to getting involved in the numerous tasks needing to be completed
Have excellent interpersonal skills , including the ability to work with and lead a team
Have good communication skills; being multi-lingual is advantageous
Have a valid driver’s licence (possession of a PDP is advantageous)
Be computer literate
Have an eye for detail
Be able to work under pressure
This position has prospects for promotion in the future.
