is looking for an innovative and inspiring Estate Manager to join our quality team.
Minimum matric or equivalent technical qualification
Health and Safety accreditation
3-5 years’ experience in management of a school estate and/or facility.
A valid driver’s license
Strong leadership, people-focused individual
Undertake and supervise various tasks such as plumbing, electrical, welding, painting and other repairs/ maintenance to buildings
Attend to maintenance requests in a timely and expedient manner
Inspect facilities to determine proactive maintenance
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly work schedules for staff
Bigger picture thinker and creative innovator
Able to handle a complex multiple workload
High attention to detail
Able to multitask and prioritise your workload
Confident in decision making, strong influencing
Staff management – supervising cleaning, maintenance and security staff
Ensure that best practices are followed for maximum efficiency
Accountable for the general maintenance of the buildings and premises
Ensuring that basic facilities are well-maintained
Overseeing building projects, renovations or refurbishments, management of contractors, check that work has been completed
Maintain health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation
Respond to emergency related callouts
