English HL Teacher GET & FET PHASE

Christian Brothers’ College Boksburg is a Premier Independent Boys’ School on the East Rand of Johannesburg. Due to growth in the High School, we are seeking the services of an English Home Language Teacher, with effect from January 2025.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic person of integrity and vision with strong interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree qualification or equivalent in GETC and FET levels; and be registered with SACE;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in teaching English in an IEB environment;
  • Ability to deliver the FET curriculum;
  • Ability to integrate technology into lessons, particularly Google Apps;
  • Capacity to deliver 21st century teaching skills;
  • The commitment to promote a very high standard of teaching and learning;
  • Be passionate about boys’ education;
  • An awareness of the nature of the College and a willingness to commit to its Catholic ethos and appreciation of its traditions;
  • Ability to foster and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders;
  • Flexibility in working as part of a dynamic team;
  • A commitment to on-going personal and professional development.

In addition, having experience in coaching an extra mural would be of beneficial.
