Established in 1879, St Mary’s Diocesan School for Girls is an independent Anglican School situated in Hillcrest, Pretoria. St Mary’s Diocesan School for Girls in Pretoria is inviting applications for the following position available from January 2021:

Educational Psychologist


  • Masters in Educational Psychology
  • HPCSA registration
  • Expertise working in a multi-cultural context essential
  • Experience in crisis intervention and trauma counselling essential
  • Experience in child and adolescent development
  • Understands working in a school context and its associated demands
  • Experience in psycho-educational and career assessments
  • Ability to build relationships with students and parents
  • Ability to contribute to a dynamic and well-established team
  • Willing to be involved in the development and delivery of the curriculum
  • Proficiency in an African language would be an advantage
  • Willing to support the Christian faith and values of the school
  • To work closely with the Deputy Head of Transformation and Diversity
  • Computer literate, enthusiastic and innovative person with compassion and an open mind, willing to assist and guide the School on its transformation journey.
