Educational Psychologist/Head of Multi-Disciplinary Team

Japari School, an independent remedial school in Parkview, Johannesburg, is looking for an Educational Psychologist to provide academic and psychological support and social wellness to pupils in our school.The Educational Psychologist will be required to work in collaboration with the school’s management team, teachers and therapists, in order to address the learning and personal development needs of our pupils.
The role will include, but is not limited to, leading the Multi-Disciplinary Team, individual interventions and assessments, consultations with teachers and parents and trauma debriefing.
Candidates should have:
A qualification from a recognised tertiary institution and a minimum of 10 years practice experience
Experience managing a Multi-Disciplinary Team
A B.Ed. from a recognised tertiary institution and some teaching experience would be advantageous
A commitment to ongoing personal development
Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
A values-based approach to the care and well-being of pupils with learning barriers
The intention to work according to the school’s ethos, specifications and policies
Be registered with the HPCSA
A Police Clearance Certificate
