We are also proud to announce that Redhill has recently opened a new, state-of-the-art Early Learning Centre, designed according to the Reggio Emilia philosophy—one of the most celebrated approaches to early childhood education in the world. The philosophy promotes self-directed, experiential learning in relationship-driven environments, with a strong emphasis on creativity, exploration, and the child’s voice in their learning journey. While training in Reggio Emilia is not mandatory, it will be a significant advantage for candidates interested in working in this progressive environment.

This position offers a wonderful opportunity for a Mentee Teacher to join our Early Learning teaching team starting in Term 1 of the 2025 academic year.

What is a Mentee Teacher? A Mentee Teacher is someone who has recently qualified or is in their final year of study, seeking valuable experience and mentorship in a real classroom environment. Working closely with a Lead Teacher, the Mentee Teacher will gain practical, hands-on teaching experience while being guided and supported in the development of their professional skills.

The ideal candidate for this position should:

  • Be a recently qualified teacher or a student teacher in their final year of study, looking for mentorship alongside an experienced Lead Teacher.
  • Have a genuine interest in working with children in KG2, Grade 0, or Grade 1.
  • Possess a good command of English, with strong reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Be computer literate and understand how to effectively integrate technology in the classroom.
  • Be self-motivated, responsible, focused, and capable of working independently.
  • Demonstrate a positive, flexible, and adaptable personality.
  • Be willing to take initiative and show creativity in various situations.
  • Be open to receiving guidance and instruction from experienced teachers while assisting with all classroom duties, including administrative tasks.
  • Have strong organisational skills to maintain an orderly learning environment both indoors and outdoors.
  • Exhibit good social and observational skills and work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Display integrity, discretion, and professionalism at all times.
