Deputy Head – Co-curricular and Events

The Deputy Head: Co-curricular and Events will be an integral part of our school’s leadership team, contributing to the overall success and growth of our co-curricular programmes and events. If you are passionate about holistic education, student development, and creating memorable experiences for pupils, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity which is available from January 2025.

As the Deputy Head: Co-curricular and Events, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the co-curricular activities of our institution. You will work closely with the Headmaster and other members of the senior management team to ensure a vibrant, enriching, and well-rounded educational experience for our pupils. The Deputy Head: Co-curricular and Events is responsible for managing and coordinating the Directors of Sport, Music and the Director of Clubs and Culture to ensure that the co-curricular programme is appropriate and in line with the mission and philosophy of the school.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A relevant degree and teaching qualification, and be registered with SACE;
  • proven experience in a leadership role within an educational or similar setting, with a focus on co-curricular activities and event management;
  • be passionate about education and the wellbeing of boys;
  • be innovative and proactive in adapting to the changing needs of education;
  • be able to interact positively with parents;
  • be able to develop and sustain new ideas and work cooperatively in a team;
  • have strong organisational, managerial, and interpersonal skills;
  • have knowledge of curriculum development, student engagement strategies, and event planning best practices;
  • be familiar with budgeting, financial management, and fundraising principles.
