St David’s Marist Inanda seeks to appoint a

Debtors Clerk

This is a full time position within the Finance Department.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient and experienced in Pastel
  • An understanding of school billing systems will be beneficial
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles
  • Computer literacy, particularly in MS Excel

Duties will include:

  • Monthly debtor recons
  • Monthly reconciliation of all activity / suspense accounts
  • Receipting of fee collections in the cashbook
  • Relevant bookkeeping
  • Debtor collections, as tasked from time to time
  • General Admin support within the Finance Office, from time to time
  • Petty Cash

Abilities / Skills required:

  • Ability to work independently (attention to detail) and to be an effective team member
  • Ability to work under pressure, with others, and to meet necessary deadlines
  • Ability to work within the Ethos of a Marist Catholic School, and participate in the life of the school as necessary
  • Strong interpersonal skills (written and oral)
