Clifton Nottingham Road invites applications from student teachers to join our Champion Internship Programme.
Clifton Preparatory School is an independent, co-educational school catering for children from Grade 000 to Grade and offering boarding. If you are:
- In possession of a valid driver’s licence (a PDP and or code 10 will be beneficial).
- Enrolled in a Bachelor of Education or similar accredited qualification (PGCE) aimed at teaching Foundation or Intermediate Phase.
- Have a clear criminal clearance certificate.
- Already registered with SACE or in the process of applying for registration.
- Warm, engaging, resilient, honest, genuine, empathetic and kind.
- Passionate about working with and making a difference in the lives of young boys and girls.
- Energetic, enjoy outdoor activities and can show initiative.
- Thirsty to learn and embrace opportunities to develop your talents.
- Creative, innovative and have strong values which align to our Christian ethos.
- Experience or ability to coach sports.
- Prepared to relocate to Nottingham Road and onto our beautiful campus full time.

What we expect of you as a Clifton Notties intern:
- Commit to a one-year, fixed term contract conditional to your performance.
- Full time residence in boarding on campus.
- Register and study during your year with us and perform well academically.
- Immerse yourself fully in the life of our school and involve yourself in our co-curricular activities,
boarding duties, transport duties, coaching sport, outreach and clubs. - Learn how to teach while you study and show self-discipline and enthusiasm during your learning
journey with us. - Be excited about learning how to integrate technology into the curriculum, using various electronic media
in the classroom.
What you can expect as a Clifton Notties intern:
- You will be assigned a mentor who will review your progress and provide guidance in the classroom.
- You will be mentored and coached to develop your teaching method, skills and competencies.
- Your own room in the boarding house with easy access to boarding when on duty.
- Access to all the activities and facilities on campus.
