St George’s Diocesan School, an Anglican Church School, is a Cambridge International School, registered to offer education programmes from Cambridge Assessment International Education, a department of the University of Cambridge.

CHAPLAIN

The staring date will be negoiated with the successful candidate, but the Chaplain will be required to be in office by 1 January 2020.

PREREQUISITES

  • An ordained Anglican Church Priest
  • A Master’s Degree would be an advantage
  • Teaching qualification would be an advantage
  • Personal attributes of energy, integrity, vision and experience
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills; and
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse community of students, teachers and parents.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate would be required to:

  • Share the Christian ethos and values upheld by the School
  • Provide for the spiritual and pastoral needs of the students at St George’s and the broader St George’s family
  • Have appropriate counselling experience
  • Assist in and support the School’s outreach programmes
  • Organise and conduct weekly, quarterly and annual Chapel services
  • Have experience in Christian youth work
  • An ability to teach and the experience of working with young children
  • Be willing to work after hours in order to fulfil the requirements of the position
  • Participating in the broader life of St George’s Diocesan School
