GIRLS BOARDING SCHOOL

The Inanda Seminary is a Non-Profit Company in Inanda, Durban, with members whose main objective is providing quality independent secondary education to female students in a Christian environment with a South African ethos. Inanda Seminary requires a Business Operations Manager to join their school from March 2023.

Responsibilities of the Business Manager, include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Principal by delivering on all non-academic operations of the school
  • Leading the Administration Team, Finance Team, Marketing Team and Facilities Management Team
  • Financial and Human Resource management
  • Legal Matters
  • 5-year work experience in a leadership role

Ideal candidate for this job will have:

  • Strong financial accounting skills including budget management and financial controls and relevant qualifications thereof
  • Experience of working with Pastel/Sage accounting packages
  • Good organisational, planning and time management skills
  • Ability to plan strategically and work collaboratively with teams
  • Diligence – able to work under pressure and resilient to manage stress
  • Excellent inter-personal and inter-cultural communication skills – verbal and written
  • Highly computer literate and proficient in Excel and Pastel
  • Previous experience of resource management – human and physical

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Overall responsibility for office and business administration
  • Financial management, including financial reporting, expenditure control, oversight of debtors and creditors and cash flow management
  • Cash management and liaising with various funders
  • Management and statutory reporting
  • Budgeting and recommending school fees and remuneration
  • Responsibility for all legal and regulatory aspects of HR administration
  • Insurance and risk management
  • Involvement in strategic planning
