We are seeking a motivated and organised Bursar to join our administrative team.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the school’s finances, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Oversee accounts, ensuring timely payments and accurate records.
  • Coordinate payroll processing.
  • Implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the school’s governing body to develop and monitor annual budgets.
  • Assist with procurement and inventory management as needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.
  • Strong financial management skills.
  • Computer literacy (MS Excel in particular).
  • Proven experience as a bursar, preferably in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures and best practices.
  • Familiarity with budget preparation and cash flow management.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience with SAGE advantageous.
