An opportunity exists for an exceptional Aftercare Assistant to join the school from 1 January 2020.
Applications are invited from candidates who fulfil the following criteria:
Ensuring the safety of the children by checking playground equipment and toys
Ensuring the children play safely
Planning, organising and supervision of children and various child-based activities
Supervision of homework
Taking responsibility for maintaining a clean, tidy and well-maintained facility
Ensuring high standards in every aspect of the afternoon supervision
Attending to children who are not well
Education, Training and Experience:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to deal effectively in a crisis situation
Self-motivated, organized and energetic
Prepared to work according to the school’s ethos, specifications and policies.
Must have a valid driver’s licence and a car in the case of emergencies
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in childcare
Current First Aid Certificate
Proven ability to work as part of a team
