St Dominic’s is an independent Catholic day-school for girls situated in Boksburg. The school which accommodates learners from Grade 0000 to Grade 12 was established in 1923 and enjoys a long and proud history of educational and sporting excellence.
St Dominic‘s is a member of the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (ISASA) and the Catholic Schools Board, and offers examinations set by the Independent Examinations Board (IEB).

We are currently looking for an afternoon Receptionist who will ensure the daily operating of the main reception area.
Working hours are 13:00 to 16:00 Mondays to Fridays.
Monthly remuneration is + R5500.00.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • General reception – attending to parents, visitors, deliveries, etc.
  • Attend to teachers and children.
  • Answer switchboard, take messages and handle queries (both telephonic and email queries).
  • General office duties.
  • Photocopying.
  • Updating of reception noticeboard with relevant meetings for the following day.
  • Assist with the printing of certificates required for Senior school prize giving.
  • Lost property.
  • Assist with the capturing of new admission forms onto Ed Amin / Maintain pupil database (as required).
  • Maintaining the database
  • Keep a record of stationery that goes out to staff.
  • Keep a record of keys that go out to staff.
  • Shredding.
  • Creating and maintaining of the Alumni database.
  • Schedule entrance exams for new applications into the Senior school and request supporting documentation for the application as provided by the Senior school secretary.
  • Follow-up on contracts and enrolment fees for the Senior school as provided by the Senior school secretary.
  • Compiling of entrance exam packs for the Senior school.
  • Requesting of learner profiles from previous schools as provided by the Senior school secretary.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Able to operate with little supervision.
