Afrikaans Teacher (grade 8 – 12)
as of 01 January 2023
The DSK teaches German mother-tongue learners from Grades 1 – 12 as well as English-speaking learners from Grades 5 – 12 respectively. Leaving examinations are the NSC, the IEB and the combi matric with accordance to German curricula. Our learners are educated by South African and German teachers to become independent and critical thinkers, who are able to take responsibility for themselves and others. We are looking for a passionate language teacher who:
has a relevant teaching degree (BEd.; BA + PGCE, Master)
has min. 3 years of teaching experience in the subject Afrikaans
being interested in lower grades (6-7) is advantageous
is SACE registered
IEB experience is a must
teaches a relevant second subject (LO, History, English or Science)
has a passion for teaching language and very good references
able to promote a high standard of teaching and learning
has experience with modern technology (Teams, Smartboard, Outlook, iPads …)
has to be South African citizen and/or permanent residence holder
