INTERMEDIATE PHASE
Afrikaans Educator (Maternity Cover, 4 Months)
 Rallim Modern Learning Environment, an exciting private school situated on Berkshire Boulevard, Sunningdale, in the Western Cape, is seeking to employ an Intermediate Phase Afrikaans Educator to join a talented and creative community in April 2025. First preference will be given to candidates based in Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities:Â
- Commitment to subject-related activities;
- Design and maintain a high-quality, progressively oriented programme for students, fostering a nurturing, and child-centred environment which meets children’s needs and inspires them to learn critically and creatively;
- Incorporating the school values into daily teaching;
- Total commitment to extra-curricular activities, and events of the school;
- Implement positive discipline techniques and willingness to embrace the character-building programs adopted at Rallim;
- Carry our other reasonable duties within the responsibilities of the post, and capabilities and training as required;
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Head of Primary School.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Â A relevant teaching qualification recognised by SAQA at Intermediate Phase;
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years teaching experience.
- Must have a valid SACE certificate.
- Must be technologically literate. Experience as an Apple teacher will serve as an advantage.
- Must also be available for induction prior to commencement of duty.

- Energetic, self – motivated and able to use own initiative;
- Good organisational and administrative skills;
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to engage with learners and their families on a personal level to help children in the best way possible;
- Be a progressive, caring and innovative educator;
- Be conversant with the latest trends and is passionate about change in education;
- Must be a team player and be able to adapt into the Rallim culture.

- Certified copies of your qualifications and SAQA evaluation report for international qualifications.
