This engaging workshop will delve into the art of cultivating thinking skills through the power of productive puzzling. The Roadshow is travelling from Johannesburg, to Cape Town, and on to Makhanda and Pietermaritzburg, ending in White River.
The workshop will explore how grappling with challenging concepts not only stimulates cognitive engagement but also fosters resilience and deepens understanding. Whether you’re a seasoned educator, a curious learner, or simply intrigued by the mechanics of thought, this workshop promises to inspire and equip you with practical strategies to foster curiosity, cultivate sharper thinking skills, and develop adaptability and perseverance.
Susannah Cole (Bermuda), presenter for the Roadshow, is co-author of “Flexible Mindsets in Schools” and she holds a MEd in developmental psychology. Comments on what delegates found worthwhile in Susannah’s previous workshop, were:
“Listening to a speaker of such calibre who kept us captive throughout the workshop with her style of presentation.”
“The nugget of how: give students time to use the tools and strategies so they can prove to themselves they are capable.”
