The South African Council for Educators (SACE) is the professional council for educators in the country. It aims to enhance the status of the teaching profession through appropriate registration.
In September 2024, the ISASA Legal, Policy and Government Relations Department released a comprehensive memorandum on independent school requirements in terms of SACE.
