Confidence Dikgole has a total of 30 years’ experience in the education sector. She taught for 10 years before taking up the position of Course Coordinator at Boston City Campus, Johannesburg in February 1999. In July 2000 she joined the South African Certification Council (SAFCERT), now known as Umalusi. This is where her passion for assessment and policy issues was ignited. She worked at Umalusi for 14 years until December 2014, during which period she was promoted to the position of Manager: Quality Assurance of Assessment (Schools).
Confidence joined ISASA in February 2015 and is currently the Director: Policy and Government Relations.
Confidence holds the following qualifications: Diploma in Education from the University of North West; Advanced Certificate in Education (Assessment and Quality Assurance and BEd (Hons) in Assessment and Quality Assurance, both from University of Pretoria; and an MEd: Curriculum and Instruction Leadership from Concordia University, Portland, Oregon, USA.
Confidence is a board member of the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) and the Independent Quality Assurance Agency (IQAA). She also serves on various committees and task teams of the Department of Basic Education.
