Hosted by Kingswood College, Grahamstown, Makhanda Kingswood College Music School will be hosting its third “Music School of the Future Conference” from 31 July – 2 August 2020. This Conference is open to anyone interested in music education. We are busy finalising the programme, which will include two concerts and a range of presenters from South Africa. Various music related topics will be covered including: Choral music Composing and arranging especially for children Group teaching Sight reading Orff-Schulwerk and Kodaly methodology Entrepreneurship Building Musical Knowledge Music and Community Globalization and the sustainability of music tuition The Conference will commence on Friday 31 July at 12h00 and will close on Sunday 2 August at 10h00. Further communication, including the registration form, will be sent out in January 2020. Registration fee of R3000 to be confirmed. Accommodation options can be found on the GHG website. Our previous conferences, held in 2016 and 2018, were attended by over seventy delegates and we intend to go much bigger this time so do SAVE THE DATE!
