Flexible Mindsets for Self-Directed Learning

Flexible Mindsets for Self-Directed Learning

Susannah Cole

In this 6-hr workshop, Susannah Cole will share practical yet simple tools to build perseverance, innovation and resilience into existing practices.

It is important for educators to guide learners to become self-directed. By becoming more metacognitively aware, learners will be able to work adaptively through change and challenges. We need to value their growth by giving them a sense of confidence, so that they can evolve and become self-determining. Curiosity plays a large role in all of this. When curiosity becomes a core value, learners will persevere, study and remember more. This is all about building a flexible mindset. Come and find out how to use simple tools to build flexible mindsets into your teaching practice.
