Established in 2008, the programme helps you guide learners towards a healthy, active lifestyle. And it’s something South African children really need. According to the 2010 Healthy Active Kids South Africa Report Card our country’s kids only scored a C- overall for health. Even more concerning, the 2010 report showed that 50% of children aren’t physically active enough, most only eat two daily servings of fruit and veg and that one in every three teens watches more than three hours of TV a day.
All these materials are free to download, but if you register on this site, you’ll also be able to order them on CD and participate in The Vitality Healthy Schools Challenge, a programme that assesses the health of your school and rewards you for improving it. Ready, steady, go!
