The Department of Basic Education recently released a document titled Containment / Management of COVID-19 for Schools and School Communities
This interim guidance is intended to help administrators of childcare facilities and primary and high schools (hereafter referred to as schools) prevent the spread of COVID-19 among learners and staff.
It also aims to help schools react quickly should a case be identified. The guidance includes considerations to help administrators plan for the continuity of teaching and learning if there is a need to quarantine learners or staff within schools or close schools as a result of the spread of Covid-19.
